My name is Dave Cook. I’ve worked in the motor industry for my entire professional life, and before that I grew up immersed in it alongside my dad, Derek. Over the years, I’ve gained experience across all levels of the industry — from sourcing and preparation to sales and customer care. More importantly, I’ve seen first-hand how modern car sales have changed, and how that change has increasingly worked against the customer.
Today’s dealerships are impressive operations, often holding millions of pounds worth of stock. That stock needs to be sold quickly to avoid financing costs and depreciation. As a result, many sales processes are built around moving existing vehicles, rather than helping customers find the right one. Added to this is pressure on margins, upselling, and targets — all of which can take the focus away from what really matters.
DC Cook takes a different approach.
You won’t see rows of cars here — and that’s by design.
By holding minimal stock, I remove the pressure to sell a car altogether. Instead, I focus solely on helping you buy the right one.
